Privacy Policy

IUX Design Lab is a research platform developed by Ahmed Mahmoud as part of a master's thesis on inclusive urban design. Contact: eng.ahmed.darawy@gmail.com

We collect only what is necessary to make the platform work. When you create an account, we store:

• Your name and email address — so you can log in and we can identify your saved work. This comes directly from whichever sign-in method you choose (Google, Apple, email, etc.).
• Your chat messages and AI responses — so your conversations are saved between sessions and you can return to them later.
• Project evaluation results — the name of your project and its score, so you can revisit past evaluations.
• Basic usage events — actions like signing in or running an evaluation, along with a general IP address, used only to understand how the platform is used for research purposes.

We do not store uploaded IFC or RVT files — they are processed temporarily in memory and immediately discarded after evaluation.

We do not collect payment information, location data, device fingerprints, or any data beyond what is listed above.

• To save and restore your chat history and evaluation results across sessions
• To understand how the platform is used for research improvement
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing

This platform uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Clerk — authentication and session management
• Supabase — cloud database for message and project storage
• Anthropic Claude API — AI model for generating responses
• Vercel — hosting and edge network

Your data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, all messages, projects, and usage logs linked to your account are permanently erased.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request erasure of your data (right to be forgotten)
• Object to processing
